Jollibee Birthday Party (Hello Kitty theme package) 2020

Planning a birthday party at Jollibee? I'd like to share a breakdown of the costs involved when we were planning a party for my niece.

Details:

• 2 hours only; additional Php 500 per 30 minutes in excess of 2 hours

Timeslots available: 10am-12nn, 1-3 pm, 4-6 pm, 7-9 pm

• Must deposit a minimum of Php 3000 to reserve booking then remaining balance on the day of the party
• Must avail minimum of Php 5000 food purchase (either from party food packages or mix & match solo items)

What's included in the party package?

Party Fee: Php 1500 (without loot bags)

• 30 name tags
• 30 balloons on sticks
• 15 assorted game prizes
• 15 party hats
• 15 invitation cards
• 15 tray liners
• 5 boxes of crayons
• 1 message board for birthday greetings
• Jollibee mascot appearance for 30 minutes
• event host
• use of sound system

Additional theme favors (party hat, name tag, tray liner, invitation card) for Php 7 per set

Additional loot bags can be ordered for Php 65 each


Updates: 

• They removed the option with included loot bags that cost Php 2000.

For venues outside the Jollibee branch:

• Party fee is Php 2000 (included Jollibee mascot, host, balloons plus those listed above). 
• The store manager/staff needs to do an ocular survey or site visit before booking the outside venue.  The Jollibee branch nearest to the venue will be the one to handle the party, so make sure to book ahead.
• You cannot rent the Jollibee mascot only.
• If you don't want to avail a party package, you can just preorder a minimum of Php 3000 worth of food and they'll deliver it to the venue for free. 
• If you want to add a Jollibee mascot, add Php 500 for transpo and Php 1000 for the mascot. If your food order is worth Php 20,000 and up, the Jollibee mascot is free.

Can I bring my own personalized loot bags for guests?

Yes, but it must be generic.  It should not contain any licensed characters or known trademarks. Must be distributed at the end of the party.

What about the birthday cake?

Birthday Cake (choice of mocha or chocolate only by Red Ribbon in your chosen theme)

Medium (8 x 12”) Php 1150

Large (12 x 12”) Php 1350

Can I bring in a custom birthday cake?

Yes, but only for photos! You're not allowed to serve & eat it during the party (only the cake included in the package).  It should also be generic or not containing licensed characters (for example, Disney or Marvel or Nickelodeon characters, etc. except for Hello Kitty which Jollibee has a license for).

Can I bring in additional party decors like balloons, tarps, etc?

Yes, but it must be generic.  Again, it must not have any licensed characters and other known trademarks (eg. Disney, Marvel, Nickelodeon, DC, etc.)

Party poppers and confetti not allowed because it can get into the food and create a mess.

Can I bring in additional food and drinks?

No.  They have a policy prohibiting food coming from outside.  If, for some reason, some of your guests brought in food, they will not allow you to eat it inside during the party.

Can I add the other mascots aside from Jollibee?

Yes, for an additional Php 1000 per mascot (30 minute appearance) and must be prebooked days or weeks before the party due to limited availability.

The Food Packages

You can't have a party without food, right?  No visit to Jollibee would be complete without its famous Chicken Joy.

You can choose from any of their food packages below or mix & match solo orders that should reach a minimum of Php 5000.  

Prices subject to increase in the next few months (inflation effect, perhaps?)

After you reach the 5K minimum, you can order from the combo/value meals.

Notes:

• Need to state number of pax at time of booking then may add additional orders after 5K minimum food purchase has been reached
• Cannot subtract number of food orders on day of party (eg. originally ordered for 60 pax but only 50 pax came on the day of the party – will be charged for 60 pax)
• May bring home excess food

The Fine Print

What if I need to cancel the booking?  Can I get a refund?

1. You need to submit a written letter to the branch at least 2 weeks before the scheduled date of the party informing them of the cancellation to be entitled to a full refund.
2. If you cancelled less than 2 weeks before the scheduled booking, they will deduct 20% of the total party food cost from your deposit as administrative/cancellation fee.

• For example, you gave the minimum deposit of Php 3000 and ordered Package A that costs Php 161 for 50 pax.
• your total party food cost will be 50 x 161 = Php 8050
• 20% of 8050 = 1,610
• The administrative/cancellation fee will be Php 1,610
• So, you will only be able to get a refund of Php 1390.
• if you booked an additional mascot/s, you should inform your branch at least 1 week before or you will be charged the Php 1000 fee
• if you ordered a cake with your booking, you should tell the branch at least 3 days before or you will also be charged for it

After Party Update and Tips:
   It was a successful birthday party enjoyed by everyone last January 1st week of 2019. We arrived a few minutes before the party time at 1pm and the venue was ready and the room was already cool which I appreciated.  Since it's a big room, it would've taken a long time to cool in the afternoon sun, so they get plus points for it.

   The event host set ample time for guests to arrive before starting the short program with an opening prayer, a short welcome, and the party games which were enjoyed more by the kids at heart. 😂  They served the food around 2pm and then a short dedication by the parents.  They assisted us in setting up the cake with the birthday candle and allowed ample time for photos during the blowing of the candle and family photos with Jollibee.  Jollibee made an appearance around 2:30pm with a short dance number and taking photos with guests.  They even had a small gift for my niece, a Jollibee drink tumbler.  The party promptly ended around 3pm.  But since some relatives came from Batangas, we continued the after party at home until past 10pm.


Here's a few tips from me:

✔ Don't forget to reconfirm your booking and package details at least 3 weeks before the scheduled date.  

      We booked for the party last October 2018 and I mentioned that I will follow up with them regarding the dedication/text to be placed on the birthday cake.  In my mind, the details were set and all we had to do was show up at the party.  3 days before the party, I called the branch to confirm all the details and it was only then that the manager informed me that I forgot to followup regarding the dedication on the cake. 🤦‍♀️  Since it was a few days before the party, they had no time to order the Hello Kitty cake (that was part of the package) from their commissary.😞

     I had 2 choices, a plain Red Ribbon cake that costs Php 1100 or cancel the cake order altogether.  I opted to cancel the cake and decided to order a Chocolate Rainbow dedication cake 🌈🎂 from the Red Ribbon in BF (12x12 large chocolate cake costs Php 800).  Jollibee doesn't allow other cakes aside from those coming from Red Ribbon.

I tried looking for Hello Kitty cake toppers but couldn't find one. I even inquired from a party needs shop but they didn't have any in stock and ordering one online might not make it in time for the party.

    We picked up the cake past 1pm and it was only then that they put on the dedication/icing and provided 2 decorative lollipops.  Bought a number candle for Php 10 as well.  Once we arrived at Jollibee, the staff helped us set up a table for the cake and gifts. 

     The Hello Kitty cake would've been nice though (based on the pictures).  Good thing my niece was too young to notice she didn't have a Hello Kitty cake. But she liked the bright colors of the rainbow chocolate cake.

🍔🍟🌭🍗🍦🥤  If more guests turned up than the number you booked for, order the additional food at the start of the party so it can be served the same time as those from the package.  We booked the package for 40 but eventually made additional orders when more guests arrived.  Jollibee commits to provide at least 20% in excess of the package booked and the rest was on a "best effort" basis.  Good thing they were able to accommodate 20+ orders and all the food were served on time.


Overall, my niece's Jollibee kiddie party was a success and was relatively hassle-free (considering they arrived the day before with jet lag ✈🌏🐏🐑) and even with the minor hiccup from the cake.

🎈🎉🎆🎇During booking, you can ask if they have additional themed decorations. I saw that in some branches, they also include themed character standees you can use for photo ops.
